Intermediary AS nominated for the Norwegian Digitalisation Award 2026 | Digdir

Intermediary AS has been nominated for the Norwegian Digitalisation Award 2026 (Digitaliseringsprisen 2026). The award is presented by the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digdir) at the national Digitalisation Conference on 16 June, decided by digital vote among the participants.

About the nomination

Digdir describes our solution registercompany.no as follows:

"A digital solution that enables automated and cross-border company registration in Norway through eIDAS, API integrations and fully digital document handling — making it easier for foreign actors to establish themselves."

For us this is recognition of years of work building a cross-border, fully automated platform that makes it easy for foreign companies and entrepreneurs to legally establish in Norway — without paperwork, long waiting times or manual processing steps.

Why it matters

The Digitalisation Award highlights solutions that genuinely make a difference — for citizens, businesses and society. The fact that a private actor like Intermediary AS is nominated alongside major public bodies such as the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, the Norwegian Building Authority and a number of municipalities, shows that collaboration between the public and private sectors is the key to real digital transformation in Norway.

How we built the solution

• eIDAS-based identification — foreign users can sign and verify identity using their national eID (BankID NO/DK/SE, MitID, Itsme, NemID and others).
• API integrations with the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises, the Tax Administration and banks — data flows directly without manual entry.
• Fully digital document handling — articles of association, powers of attorney and KYC forms are signed electronically and archived in a GDPR-compliant manner.
• Compliance by design — ISO 27001-aligned, AML rules built in, sanctions screening on all parties.

The road ahead

An expert jury is now narrowing the list down to three finalists, who will be presented at the Digitalisation Conference. The winner is decided by digital vote among the conference participants. Whatever the outcome, we see this nomination as an important signal: cross-border, automated company registration is the future — and Norway is leading the way.
