Intermediary AS × Simonsen Vogt Wiig — legal partner agreement (Jan. 2024)

⚖️ Intermediary AS has entered into a partner agreement with Advokatfirmaet Simonsen Vogt Wiig AS. The agreement was signed in January 2024 — only a few weeks after we formalised our accounting agreement with Randaberg Regnskap AS — and completes an important legal foundation both for our own operations and for the ecosystem we offer customers via registercompany.no.

Two layers in one agreement

The collaboration with Simonsen Vogt Wiig covers two layers of our value chain:

1. Legal advisory for Intermediary AS — corporate law, contract law, GDPR/data protection, AML/KYC, platform and technology law, intellectual property and general business law.
2. Ecosystem partner for our customers — foreign founders establishing themselves in Norway via registercompany.no get access to one of Norway's leading business law firms from day one, with capacity across all relevant practice areas.

Why a legal partnership is critical

When a foreign company establishes itself in Norway, several legal considerations must be handled professionally:

• Corporate law — incorporation, articles of association, shareholder and board matters, mergers/demergers.
• Contract law — customer, supplier and distribution agreements aligned with Norwegian and EEA law.
• GDPR and data protection — data processing agreements, transfers, risk assessments.
• AML/KYC and anti-money-laundering rules — particularly important for our automated registration flow.
• Employment law — hiring, posting, foreign workers in Norway.
• Tax and VAT law — at the interface between home country, Norway and the EU/EEA.
• Intellectual property — trademarks, copyright, know-how, licensing.

For foreign founders this is often an opaque jungle. With Simonsen Vogt Wiig as a pre-vetted partner, our customers can start on solid legal ground — regardless of whether they come from Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the EU/EEA.

Like the accounting agreement, this one is worded as an ecosystem partner agreement:

• A unified customer experience where law, accounting and platform play together — not as silos.
• Knowledge sharing both ways — we learn from their professional depth, they learn from our customer flow.

A complete 2023-2024 foundation

The agreement with Simonsen Vogt Wiig is the final big piece in the foundation we have built throughout 2023 and into 2024:

• Market clarification grant (NOK 100,000) from Innovation Norway — June 2023.
• Patentability review at the Norwegian Patent Office and Zenodo/CERN publication — 2023.
• Press coverage from Danish Startup Group — Sept. 2023.
• Trademark registered with the Norwegian Patent Office — Oct. 2023.
• Launch of registercompany.no — 2023.
• Partner agreement with Randaberg Regnskap AS — December 2023.
• Partner agreement with Simonsen Vogt Wiig AS — January 2024.

Together this constitutes a platform where technology, law and finance hang together — and where foreign founders get one route into the Norwegian market.
